I ❤ Tetris!...

This is my favorite game. It keeps me occupied during:
1. heavy traffic (when I am not driving)
2. waiting rooms (doctors make you wait a lot!)
3. boring meetings
4. poop time (instead of reading a book, this rocks.)
And, it helps me fall asleep! I play until I'm tired and then I just stop the game. Quick and easy.

The Only Option, Unf...

Tetris knock-offs are considerably lamer, but this game is still insufficient. Once you "beat" marathon (which is a ridiculous problem) and get sick of magic, there's not much left to do. I played for about a couple weeks, but now I ignore the game. Eh. If you need tetris, go ahead, but it's a short-lived lift.
Btw tetris doesn't translate well to touch screen controls. There's only four directions the tetrinos can move, so arrow keys or a numeric keypad are actually better. Ironic.

....I mean REALLY terrible... Why I didn't listen to the reviews is beyond me. I thought, "Oh well maybe I should see for myself...plus it's on sale..3 bucks isn't too bad for a game I loved as a kid..regardless of how bad people say the app is.." Ummm no it is AWFUL... I feel like such a schmuck that I just got it today & now I'm going to delete it already!!! Don't flush your $ down the toilet w/ this one.

I have a lot of fun with this. It is a great way to burn some time when you are waiting.
Only complaint is it is a little difficult to change the direction of the piece fast enough when you are at a fast pace and you have built up close to the top because you have to tap a few times to rotate the block to the position you need.

My rating would jump to 5 if EA would fix the fast drop control. (They call it hard drop). The idea is to drop a piece quickly to the bottom. Every other version of the game I've played on other systems drops the tetris piece straight down to the bottom -- no problem. In this port of the game, you flick your finger down and the piece drops down, but not straight down - it frequently drifts to the right or left, going to a spot you did not intend. If your finger moves down exactly, 100% vertically, it may go where you want. But usually it doesn't because no one's hand moves that accurately. It seems like an easy fix to make a downward gesture simply move the piece straight vertically down. (Soft drop is more controllable but slow and you have to baby-sit the piece as it drops). PLEASE FIX THIS QUICKLY, EA!!!
Tetris Goods, Bads, ...

This app difinately interested me because I like Tetris Online, but it's a little difficult to slide down the shapes without making then move somewhere else you don't want it. The gadgets that help you through the game are ingenious and I think they are a fun tool to use when yu are stuck. One thing I realized was that the pricing went up. It used to be $2.99 when u bought it a few months ago, now it's $4.99. That's a big price difference. I would like to know why they raised it $2 more.

This Is Not Tetris...

1. 15 levels? WTF I can go to like 30 easily, I played this whole thing in less than 15 mins.
2. Where's the original music? That's what makes this game so good!
3. I know the iPhone and itouch are touch screens, but this game should setting where you press something like buttons, like the original game boy tetris because it's really hard to slide your fingers in the game. For example, when im trying to slide the block down slowly, it shoots it down, which enables me to move it and such.
Otherwise, tetris is great and I love it but this was disappointing I want my 3 dollars back. Please update it and make some better changes!
