This app is a most have for any student or lover of English. Everything is here in an easy-to-use interface. And the price can't be beat! Literally hours of reading and enjoyment are contained in this app.

There are constantly updates which have to be performed, but you have to hook up the phone to phone to the computer. Only, I can't update the new version. And I can't delete it. Therefore my phone just keeps trying to connect to my itunes to update this application every 15 minutes. So annoying. I'll be calling apple to try to help me remove this one!

This app is amazingly cool. It has all the Shakespeare you will ever need on your iPhone/iPod. Navigation is easy. Reading Shakespeare on it is a joy.
Warning On Upgrade...

Content is great overall, but I just tried to Upgrade to Pro in-app, and while it unlocked features, it did not give me the current Pro version for the iPad. Then when I tried reinstalling the app to see if that fixed it, I lost my Pro upgrade, so that was money thrown down the drain. If you want the Pro edition, delete this one and buy Pro separately. What a mess.

I love this app. I've read several plays since I've downloaded it and it's very easy to use. I love how you can customize everything and how it remembers where you left off. It's even better on the iPad.
Unfortunately I now have a bug. Every time I go back to the menu to choose something new to read, it shoots me back to hamlet. Please fix this so I can read something other then hamlet!

I downloaded this in February to have Shakespeare's plays at my fingertips. And that's what you get, but OMG the updating is ridiculously obnoxious and constant! It seems like they update this every 10 days (WHY do they keep updating a database that hasn't changed since the 1600s!!!) and it's one of those immense apps that you have to plug into iTunes to update. So I do that, yadda yadda, but it isn't that easy. You have to REBUY IT EVERY TIME THEY UPDATE IT and then manually re-sync your iPhone. STOP UPDATING THE THING!

I love this program! If I could, I'd give it a 4-and-a-half stars for two reasons: the text does not feature line numbers, and you cannot move from scene to scene (only from act to act). But I'm rounding up to five because this free app is great in all other regards. Hopefully Readdle can make those adjustments in a future version. (Heck, I'm such a bard-nerd, I'd even PAY for such things!) If I had to choose between the two, I'd prefer the option to advance from scene to scene -- adding line numbers is just icing on the cake for this English teacher!Thanks for a truly exciting addition to my iPhone!

First off, to reviewers that ask for other authors, unlikely as Shakespeare is public domain and most other writers aren't.
That being said the app is great. I actually own a hardcover shakespeare anthology that put me back $125, but I could have gotten this for free.
