It's Good, But.....
By : Appraterman
This is a good app. It has good books, a good UI, and a good interface. However, I agree with the people that say they need more books, because they do. They promised to regularly update the app, but only updated it once, not even for a good reason. It's good, but it needs to live up to its promise. I also dislike the shift of price. First, it was $0.99, then for a short while, it was free, now it's $2.99? What's next, $4.99? Make up your mind, and don't rip off the people for an app that hasn't really changed since its release. Unless you lower the price or make it free, I say skip this one.

Awesome...

My 13 year old son told me about this app - he was playing with his Ipod and he was told to put it away. He said I am reading a book called Alice in Wonderland - He really was and he has been reading all the books in this app. Absolutely awesome!!!

Best EBook Interface...
By : Shezebelle
This application makes me so happy, every time I launch it. In addition to a charming collection of books (which I sincerely hope they will continue to expand), "Classics" has a beautiful and effective visual design. The "bookshelf" is lovely. But the stand-out feature for me, that I wish I could translate onto the Kindle and all other e-readers: the way the app turns pages. It so beautifully mimics the natural turning of a page, that it allows you to read in a continuous flow as you do with a physical book. The page billows up, the text compresses over to the side, the page turns with a gentle (and optional) sound. The Kindle and all others force a tiny pause between one page and the next, as it changes from static page to static page, which I find eye-fatiguing and mentally disruptive. Even the page-curl of other similar apps is disruptive. Beautiful, unique, inexpensive, immersive and soul-enriching: this is my favorite iPhone app, period.

Still A Great App......
By : Mattmchugh.com
This app redefined the user experience for reading books on the iPhone. It is beautifully designed and set the standard for all iPhone book developers to follow. (Even Apple has copied its design for their "iBooks" store, which seems like a bit of a rip off to me.) This app is the game-changer for ebooks on the iPhone I bought it when it was $2.99 and had 16 great books, perfectly rendered to make reading on a 3-inch screen a genuine pleasure. That's a FANTASTIC bargain, then and now. These reviewers complaining the books are free elsewhere or the developers haven't added new titles in a while really seem to be missing the point.

What A Difference A ...
By : J.J. In California
A great showcase app a year ago which has withered on the vine due to having no support from the developers. Like others, I bought this app on the promise of more books (this promise was prominently featured in the description at that time) that never came. Of course, there was a long awaited very minor update which was so minor it only served to rub salt in the wounds. The support and suggestion page is a dead end. Keep in mind most of the books listed as "new" in the description were added a year ago. When a developer has a "new" feature that is twice as old as the last time I upgraded my phone (3GS in July 2009), I think it's time to drop the "new." In short, this has gone from being an app bursting with the potential it represented to the single most disappointing app on my phone. The promise of this app was never realized. After a year, this is the single app I most regret buying because I feel taken by the developers. My phone is filled with other ebook apps which have developers that actually keep their promises and support their product. Do yourself a favor and take a pass on this one.

Selling Books Outsid...
By : JohnnySaver
The company decided to sell the separate books for a fee each. That is contra to what they said at the beginning, that they will keep adding books on a regular basis. They should sell the books to the people who bought the app thinking they will get regular added books to the classic app, when they have been transposing many books and selling them for 1.99 each under Ubiklabs, I feel betrayed.

Stunning!!...
By : Mahjohn
Bravo...Bravo!!, having digital editions of literary works is something that anyone can get as a .pdf. What this app gives you is the polish, the touches of the bookshelf, page turning animations, and bookmarks. Not only will the page crinkle when being turned, but the text on the page will fold and turn, as you would expect with real paper. To pay .99 for this app is criminal, the developers have spent a great deal of time putting a "book" into the hands of iPhone users, and should be adequately compensated. My wish list for improvements would be more titles when feasible, and replace then page turning sounds with something mote credible. Must run now, busy reading "The Art of War".
