Lower The Price Of T...

While the app itself is nice, the book pricing is rediculous! B&N needs to bring the price of the eBooks down. Then I will reinstall the app. But until then, I will just buy the actual books for the same or less in the store.

I got this app to try it but I was disappointed by the price of the books! I could go out to the actual STORE and get it for less.

Great as ereader, even better as bn ereader: free dictionary, some free ebooks, plus can see all samples I want too

Downloaded this app and wasn't surprised to see that it is very smiliar to eReader (since B&N bought fictionwise). The B&N reader is leagues ahead of the Kindle app which is clunky and doesn't have as many features. B&N needs to work on their pricing because it is cheaper for me to continue to use fictionwise. Overall very slick. Slightly different icons (more user friendly) than eReader.

Great app...and ebooks from my favorite store. I've been hoping for this for a long time and am loving the experience so far.
Good V1.0...

I wish you could buy the books directly from the app....would make it solo much easier rather than having to launch a browser and connect to thief mobile ebookstore. But ilike the features like auto-scroll, and found it easy to change fonts. I like all the free books too.
Some features they can work on, but all in all a strong start

My main complaint is that they make it too difficult. First they give me a list of categories, but when I click a category (Ex. Mystery) it takes me to a page with 2 choices. "Shop for ebooks" and "My Online Library. Shop for ebooks takes me to a page where I then have to type mystery into the search box. Then it gives me a list of books to browse. Why can't they just take you to the category you want browse when you click on it in the first place? There should be a Search box for searching titles, or authors and another box for Browsing Categories. Then they give you a choice of ebooks, or All Products. It's an ebook reader and the button says Shop for ebooks, why would I want to search for All Products? That's what the Barnes & Noble Bookstore App is for.I love B & N and I like the standard B & N Bookstore App just fine, but until they get the wrinkles ironed out of this one, I'll keep using the App from the other online company and keep waiting for them to improve this one.

The reader is very nice, with a lot of functionality. It is particularly nice to be able to use large print and reversed text for easy reading. However, the shopping experience is terrible. There is no way to browse, and the entire experience is much clunkier than the B&N app for print books.
Promising App Defeat...

Lots of problems pointing to B&N IT trouble: not scaling appropriately (had to enter my user/pw multiple times before it "took"); poor user experience characterized by very bad in-app navigation and poor app-to-web handoff (no matter if you drill down to a genre, you'll click "Shop Online" and arrive at the same search page, not the genre browsing page). The good is that the reading experience itself isn't too bad, though there're still snafus here with the context settings still being vertical even if you're reading horizontally.Too many features, too mashed together. Update please
Way To Go, B&N!...

Second great app from B&N in one month! I was waiting for an ereader from them for a while now. Love the free books and the ease of buying new ebooks. Hoping they add magazines.
